The Playroom’s Charter
The Playroom’s charter is to supply our client’s improved work flows, the latest infrastructure, a shortening in lead-times and innovation around the movement and storage of media through our fully digital value chain, utilising state of the art technology and providing knowledge and service second to none.
The Playroom’s digital media hub in Yurong Street East Sydney, is where the foundation blocks have been laid for our media aggregation, preparation and distribution services business. This facility is the central hive for digital media movement and storage and allows our clients to digitally move media onto discreet online production infrastructure systems, broadcast and play-out solutions and into our near line and deep archive media storage centre. This central hive allows for multiple format or flavors to be stored, recalled and moved including; HD, SD, Pro Res 422, MPEG 2, and a vast array of other media resolution formats for delivery to platforms including; Subscription Television, IPTV, internet websites, and other platforms including Apple iTunes, Nine MSN, mobile phones to name but a few.

The charter of this R&D group is to NOT focus on the now, but indeed on the future, developing ways in which we can stay ahead of the curve, developing flexible methods in which media rich content can be repurposed and monetised quickly and cost effectively in both new and exciting ways on not only traditional platforms but indeed within new market mediums and devices that are not even yet developed.
