The Playroom Goes Live!

The Playroom is very excited to announce that as of July our new Digital Media Hub facility in Yurong Street went "live"! The launch of this new facility is the culmination of over 4 years of planning. The team have worked extremely hard especially over the last six months as the build and commissioning has taken place and we are very proud of the result.

The facility has the ability to aggregate and distribute content including High definition, Standard definition, IPTV, mobile phones and other media on the move devises. Current clients include subscription television partners The Movie Network Channels with Movie One, Movie Extra and Movie Greats being delivered to Foxtel, Optus, Austar, SELECTV and Transact. We also supply MTV Networks main channel for delivery to the Sky New Zealand platform.

While the Playroom was originally formed as a boutique playout provider back in 2002 we have become the largest independent provider of these services within Australasia. We have also expanded our offering to encompass the gamut of digital media services including encoding and transcoding to multiple flavours of media with delivery to organisations including, Apple iTunes, Nine MSN, Telstra Bigpond, Telstra mobile and 3 communications, media rich websites and digital library storage to name a few.
